A little about me.
I am a driven, hard-working entrepreneur and family man who sees what he wants and then pushes forward until I get it. Operating on pure motivation from one day to the next, I have a strong technical mind, and from a young age, I exhibited a singular ability to take things apart and then put them back together. Someone who learns through action, I am a marketing professional with a knack for figuring our audiences and presenting information in a way that sticks.
Getting my start in the automotive advertising industry when I was only 15 years old, I first worked for my family’s business, Bargain News. There, I honed my skills and developed my network, becoming known for my reliability and for my can-do attitude. When Bargain News downsized, I moved on, finding a niche helping automotive dealers with vehicle photography, content management, marketing ideas, and graphic design.
Some of my strengths are operations management, brand management, team building, e-commerce, and business development. I am able to bring ideas from their early stages through to their completion, my organizational capabilities complementing my gifts for creative thinking and planning. Working on the cutting edge, I have accrued a treasure trove of technical skills, with proficiency in such areas as Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, SEO, SEM, PPC, and WordPress. I am a social media expert who knows how to get things to hook across multiple platforms.
Since 2014, I have been out on my own full time, running JMichael Marketing. I am responsible for all areas of the business, from creating promotional campaigns to designing brand imagery to analyzing marketing trends and beyond. I maintain several CMS systems, including vAuto, Dealer.com, and WordPress, and I consistently exceed client expectations, adhering strictly to their deadlines and my guarantees.
As a dedicated parent, I sit on the PTO, helping out with the Southington Schools website and keeping the calendar and events schedule accurate. On top of that, I have publicized events and fundraisers and acted as the PTO point of contact for newspapers and news outlets. In 2015, I received the Josh Daigle Memorial School Volunteer Award.
I thrive in high-pressure environments. Working against a high standard, I do my best work, finding in expectations a reason to push harder and demand more of myself. My leadership style is such that I set an example for those around me to follow, always doing the toughest work first and always figuring out ways that I can do better.
I currently live in Southington, CT, where I share my home with wife Christine of five years, my 17-year-old stepson Alex, my 2-year-old son Matty, and two cats. I attended Sacred Heart University, studying Business Administration.
